I really, really miss sugary pastries. Most gluten-free mixes are simply awful, but Betty Crocker's options aren't half bad. In fact, they're pretty darn tasty! To make them even sweeter, they're made in a gluten-free facility - so no risk of cross contamination at the source!
Betty Crocker's gluten free brownie mix is extremely popular in our house. The brownies turn out thick, rich and chewy. Even non-celiacs love the taste of these! If you prefer cake-like brownies, try Bob's Red Mill - but the flavor won't be nearly as nice.
My birthday is on Monday, so my husband decided to attempt a gluten free birthday cake. We got Betty Crocker's yellow cake mix, hoping it was half as nice as the brownie mix. It was extremely easy to cook and has a great flavor - you almost can't tell it's gluten free.
So Betty Crocker? Thanks for making a few mixes that don't taste awful! We really, really, really appreciate it!
