It was time for a change. A Prairie Dobe Companion was looking so 2011, so I decided to spruce it up a bit. My comfort zone has always been with warm tones, so I'm being brave this year and going with a nice Lake Michigan Cottage Blue.
Since three sentences doesn't really constitute a blog post, I might as well share some silly dog goals for 2012.
Goal #1: Get Kaylee's CD.
Technically, this goal should be "Pester Aryn until she gets Kaylee's CD" since Aryn will be the one showing her in obedience. Their first trial as a team will be February 11th, 2012. I hope Aryn has enough time to whip Kaylee into being show ready!
Goal #2: Train Talla to successfully participate in a group stay.
Easier said than done. I'm serious. I'd also like her to hold still for nail grinding, but that may be too lofty a goal for 2012.
Goal #3: Get Jayne's BH
The Mid Iowa Working Dogs trial is in May. That gives me five months to turn Jayne into a dog that can heel, drop out of motion, honor, etc. Hey, stop laughing. I mean it. Stop laughing.
Goal #4: Shoot, Revy needs a goal...
I just want Revy to continue being a healthy EPI dog. Perhaps I can find a way to make her breath not smell like nasty predigested kibble. Otherwise, I want her to be the happy, indomitable little corgi that she is. That's good enough for me.
To round out this lovely blog post - and I'd love to finish it since it's nearly 1 o'clock in the morning and I'm exhausted and I have to get up early tomorrow - here's the First Photograph of 2012. No, that black Doberman is not Kaylee. More on that tomorrow.
